Die zus?tzlichen Mehrspielermodi wurden in fr¨¹hen Zeitschriftenvorschauen zu Duke Nukem 64 und sogar in der Pressemitteilung angek¨¹ndigt, die GT Interactive in der Einf¨¹hrungswoche herausgab.
Eine franz?sische Zeitschrift namens PlayMag ver?ffentlichte im September 1997 einen fr¨¹hen Screenshot von Duke Nukem 64, der das Kinozelt zeigte, auf „em ?Attack of the 50“Ft.¡° gespielt wurde. Als im April 2009 ein PAL-Prototyp von Duke Nukem 64 online auftauchte, hatte ich gehofft, einen genaueren Blick aus erster Hand auf die schwierige Beziehung des Spiels zu Nintendos Zensoren werfen zu k?n„en. ?Es ist besser, als irgendjemand h?tte hoffen k?nnen, und seine Aufnahme war hundertprozentig po“itiv¡°, f¨¹gte der Gesch?ftsf¨¹hrer hinzu.
Und die Frage, die alle anderen ¨¹bertrifft: Wenn Sie Duke Nukem Forever gespielt haben, hat sich das Warten gelohnt? Dieser Duke Nukem 64-Prototyp stammte von einem europ?ischen Spieleentwicklersammler namens Simon Band. Ich habe eine kleinere Version erstellt, die ihren Weg in Duke fand.
Eine Vorschauversion des Nintendo 64-Spiels zeigt die urspr¨¹nglichen Computerwaffen-Sprites. Ein IGN-Vorschauvideo des ¨¹berwachungssystems im Spiel vom 29. Juli 1997 zeigte, dass die Perspektive der ¨¹berwachungskamera dieselbe war wie in der endg¨¹ltigen Version (Link).
